When you register a product (eg. electronic items) are you granted ownership of the product?

elspoky90 asked:

For Example.
A 12mp canon digital camera.
person A bought it. Then gave it to person B. Person B decided to register it because it was given to him/her.
Can person A legally take it back even know it was registered in person B’s name?
^ Thats what Iwant to know!

If I send some one to the store with the cash to buy a product for me. They would be making the purchase, but would not be the owner. If you are gifted an item or buy it second hand, it is yours.

When an item is registered with the manufacturer, they often state that the registration is not transferable. So whom so ever registers it is the only one who can call on the manufacturer’s warranty.

The purchaser is the one covered by law with certain rights, it is wise therefore to retain the receipt and when ever ownership is transferred the Original receipt of purchase should be too.
